Baleària has its fourth smart ship, the Marie Curie, that can run on liquefied natural gas (LNG). The ship is a sister of the Hypatia de Alejandría and will connect Valencia-Ibiza-Palma with its dual engine system that has a power capacity of 20,600 kilowatts (kW).
Baleària invested 200 million euros in the construction of Marie Curie and Hypatia de Alejandría.
The ship offer digital innovations to improve the customer experience such as: the camera system installed in the accommodations of the pets to allow passengers to see them, the self-service totems in the cafeteria and self-service, and free access to Whatsapp.
The new Baleària smart ship can reach 25 knots of speed, is 186.5 meters long, and has a capacity for 880 people, 2,194 linear meters of cargo, and 166 vehicles. The ship has two cabins adapted for people with reduced mobility, shop, cafeteria, self-service and à la carte restaurant and jacuzzis on the outer deck.
