At the 2019 International Conference & Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas, Novatek Gas & Power Asia and Vitol S.A. revealed that the two companies signed a heads of agreement for liquified natural gas (LNG) coming from Arctic LNG 2 and other NOVATEK facilities.
The agreement outlines the delivery of one million tons per annum (MPTA) of LNG for the duration of 15 years. The supply will be shipped free on board (FOB) to LNG transshipment locations in Kamchatka and the Murmansk region. “LNG volumes sold at our transshipment terminals ensures the flexibility of LNG supplies around the world and allows us to create LNG hubs in the Asia-Pacific and Atlantic basins,” stated Lev Feodosyev, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for NOVATEK.
