The Linde Group has won a contract from Chinese Inner Mongolia Huineng Coal Chemical Co. Ltd.to build a medium-scale LNG plant near Beichuan. Linde will take charge of the engineering and procurement for the new plant, as well as services for the site, which will be the seventh LNG plant in China and the largest so far.
The plant will combine the LIMUM® process, a multi-stage mixed refrigerant-based process that is proprietary to Linde, with proprietary cryonic heat exchangers. The new plant is expected to be rated for 750,000 tons of LNG per year.
