In February 2020, Annova LNG signed a 30-year lease covering more than 700 acres with the Port of Brownsville, Texas.
Speaking at the celebration ceremony, Omar Khayum, Annova LNG CEO, said: “The lease we signed spans a generation, demonstrating the long-term positive economic impact Annova LNG could bring to the Rio Grande Valley.”
Annova LNG is touting the project’s job creation potential in the region. “This agreement is an investment for the future of the Rio Grande Valley and enhances our ability to support and create better economic opportunities for our region,” said John Reed, Brownsville Navigation District chairman.
