Bechtel Oil Gas and Chemicals, Inc completed work on Train 2 at the Corpus Christi liquification facility and handed over control to Cheniere. This handover comes after substantial completion was met for the liquification train. From now on, activity from Train 2 will be included in Cheniere’s financials.
Also, the two companies have successfully reached substantial completion on seven trains on the Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi LNG sites, all within budget and ahead of projections.
Additionally, the Corpus Christi facility is expected to provide its initial commercial delivery in May 2020, at which point several sale and purchase agreements (SPAs) will begin. Cheniere has SPAs with Iberdrola, S.A., Naturgy Energy Group S.A., PT Pertamina (Persero), Électricité de France, S.A., and Woodside Energy Trading Singapore Pte Ltd.
