GTT received eight new orders for the Mark III Flex membrane system for 174,000 m3 LNG carriers. Four of the orders came from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) while the other four from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI), both based in Korea.
“This brings the number of LNGC orders obtained in 2019 to 57, which is a record year for GTT and illustrates the partnership of excellence that we have with the shipyards of the Hyundai Group,” stated GTT’s CEO, Philippe Berterottière.
HSHI’s orders are all for a European shipowner; HHI’s orders are split between a different European owner and an Asian shipowner. All orders have expected delivery by the end of 2022.
