French company, GTT, secured a tank design order from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for a new LNG carrier. The order comes on behalf of Nisshin Shipping Co, a Japanese ship owner.
Planned for early 2022, the tank design will be for the 174,000 m3 carrier and it expected to use GTT’s Mark III Flex containment system. The system is designed to keep liquefied gas at a low temperature at any stage of shipment and storage.
