IHI Corporation and Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for two liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks for a new facility, HSPEL, in Chhara Port, Gujarat, India.
Each tank will have a capacity of 200 million liters of LNG, the largest in India, and are projected to be completed in 2022.
IHI Plant Services Corporation, a subsidiary of IHI, will complete the work. IHI has constructed 70% of the LNG tanks in India, including its first terminal, Dahej LNG in Gujarat.
