Polskie is planning an LNG Terminal Expansion Program, consisting of two main portions. First, Polskie is looking to select a contractor for three components for the onshore expansion by the end of 2019. The three components are:
- Expanding regassification capacity to 7.5 billion Nm3/per year (normal cubic meters per year), planned for 2021
- Adding a third LNG storage tank to increase flexibility and capacity, Planned for 2023
- Implementing LNG-to-rail equipment to incorporate transshipment on ISO containers and rail tankers, planned for 2023
The second portion involves offshore operations, specifically the construction of a new jetty. The new jetty will add new services at the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście, including bunkering, LNG transshipment, and methane loading and unloading.
Polskie is expecting the LNG Terminal Expansion Program to tap into the growing interest in small scale LNG (SSLNG). Since 2015, Polskie LNG’s terminal in Świnoujście has received 50 vessel deliveries and has loaded over 4,000 trucks.
