Qatargas successfully delivered the initial Q-Flex liquified natural gas (LNG) cargo off the coast of Bangladesh. The delivery was made to the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) called “Summit LNG”.
Petrobangla jointly developed the Summit LNG Terminal with Excelerate Energy with the Summit FSRU under a 15-year charter to Petrobangla.
The “Al Safliya”, a Qatargas charter with a 210,000 m3 capacity, left the Ras Laffan Port in December 2019 and completed its delivery in January 2020. Deliveries are made under a 15-year sale and purchase agreement (SPA) signed in 2017. The agreement specifies that Qatargas will supply up to 2.5 million tons per annum (MTPA) of LNG to Petrobangla.
