Sempra LNG has made new appointments for the roles of President and Chief Operating Officer, Justin Bird and Lisa Glatch respectively.
The two new leaders of the Sempra Energy unit previously reported to the Chairman and CEO of Sempra North America Infrastructure. The company’s leadership expressed confidence that the appointees will help aid the company into becoming the largest energy infrastructure company in North America.
Chairman and CEO of Sempra North American Infrastructure, Carlos Ruiz Sacristán stated, “Justin and Lisa bring extensive expertise in developing infrastructure projects, marketing capacity, financing, engineering and construction. With their leadership, our LNG business is on solid footing for continued disciplined growth.”
Bird will focus on marketing and project development as he steps into his new role. He has experience financing large LNG developments like the Cameron LNG liquification project as well as handling commercial topics for other projects, including Energía Costa Azul regasification terminal.
Glatch will be tasked with overseeing project controls, engineering and construction, external affairs and operations, and human resources. Glatch has been supporting the completion of the Cameron LNG project since her start at Sempra in 2018 and will continue to do so into her new role.
Sempra LNG is aiming to deliver 45 million tons per annum (MTPA) of LNG. This goal is supported by the development of five LNG projects throughout North America.
