Uniper has decided to divest its 48.2% stake in OLT Offshore LNG. The company held this interest as a financial investment and is divesting in order to focus on expanding its LNG portfolio in Europe.
OLT is known for its floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) Toscana. FSRU Toscana is stationed off the Tuscan coast between the Italian cities of Livorno and Pisa. The unit has an annual capacity of 3.75 m3.
Uniper will sell its stake in OLT to First State Investments, who will join IREN Group and Golar LNG as the third shareholder. First State Investments is expected to pay about €400 million all-in-all with Uniper netting approximately €340 million.
